She is an immortal being from before the Big Bang! She is the cosmic devourer of worlds who came to Earth to find a worthy man to serve as her herald! She is a threat so great that the Man of Iron was forced to enlist the aid of his greatest foes, The Fatal Four in order to combat her!
All that concerns her is her eternal hunger, the hunger that must be fed so that GALAXIMA may live!
Maxima is by Curt Swan and Brett Breeding and is from Who's Who in the DC Universe (1990) #2. The city is from the Lexcorp profile found in Who's Who in the DC Universe (1990) #11 by Dusty Abell and Al Vey. The Galactus bits are from a pin-up by John Byrne.

Nice work on Galaxima, I will see if I can make her in DCU Online.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I just had a string of great ideas for possible amalgams after re-reading JLA/Avengers that I was hoping you would create:
Green Lantern (John Stewart) and War Machine
(War Lantern?)
Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) and Ms. Marvel
(The Green Marvel or Ms. Lantern?)
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Scarlet Witch
(Green Witch, Scarlet Lantern, maybe both?)
Wonder Woman and Wasp
Iron Man and Atom (Iron Atom?)
Iron Man and Batman (Iron Bat?)
Black Panther and Batman (Black Bat?)
Black Widow and Huntress
Thor and Aquaman
Hawkeye and Flash
Quicksilver and Green Arrow (Quick Arrow?)
Thor and Superman
Captain America and Batman
Bucky and Robin (Rocky?)
Black Panther and Blue Beetle (Blue Panther, Black Beetle, maybe both?)
And the only villian mix I thought of although very intriging:
Ultron and Amazo.
If I think of any more I will comment, but I think this list will keep you buzy for a while.
I loved Amalgam! I was hoping this was a blog about Amalgam comics, but new Amalgams are cool too and you obviously have some great Photoshop skills.
ReplyDeleteSince you checked out my blog, you might see (at least half of) this suggestion coming: Rom, Atomic Knight! (Rom, Spaceknight and the Atomic Knights.) I suppose you could also do Rom and the Shining Knight. Or even Rom and the Silent Knight.
My friend Michael sent me to this page and I LOVE IT! Was a huge fan of Amalgam back in the day and enjoy seeing the new amalgams as well as the old originals... but I know there's two I've wanted to create but lack the skills too...
ReplyDeleteProfessor Strange: Psychiatrist Supreme (Hugo Strange and Doctor Strange). It'd be awesome to see a crossover between him and either Dark Claw or Bruce Wayne: Agent of Shield.
And one I've had in my head since I was a teen after reading Amalgam... Vaine! Venom, Kaine and Match (a clone of Superboy, appeared in Superboy#35).
The back story for this character was thus: A clone of Spider-Boy by Dabney Donovan, he was deemed a failure when the bonding process began to fail and the clone started to degenerate. Flushed into the bowels of Project Cadmus, the clone was found the 'supposedly dead' symbiote that Cadmus crafted Bizzarnage from.
Bonding together, the clone's genetic structure became stable, although keeping an albino skin tone. While the symbiote felt it had a 'blank slate' to control, personality traits from Spider-Boy shone throw, allowing the clone to establish a tedious dominance.
Unhappy that he is seen as a 'reject', he seeks to replace Spider-Boy as both a hero and a photographer; taking on the identity of Dabney Douglas Parker... although his faith in his looks get him labeled as vain and his nature to replace Spider-Boy seems to echo the jealousy of Kain from Kain and Abel, so he becomes known as VAINE.
Cheesy, I know, but it sounded fun in my head :p
I loved Amalgam the only problem I had was Lobo the Duck I mean here DC offers up Lobo the antihero who can go ten rounds with their flagship hero Supes and who does Mavel toss in Howard the Duck the running joke of the brand I would love to see something like Deadpool/Lobo=Deado? Lobotimo? the name is a bit off but the personalities and powers were a great blend and neither of them can stop talking about themselves long enough for someone else to get a word in edgewise I would love to see your take on the concept
ReplyDeleteCan you do a Superman/Hulk amalgamated character(Super Hulk)
ReplyDeleteAlso the same with super girl/she hulk(Super she hulk)
Ironman/Batman mix(Iron Bat)
Lex Luthor/KingPin(King Luthor)
Green Golbin/Joker(Joke Goblin)
Dude I love your work! I was wondering can you do a Black cat / wonder woman thing (wonder cat or Black wonder) also do you think you can do a Scarlet Spider/Blue beetle (Ted Kord)?
