Ron Lithgow was a quiet, sensitive speechwriter for a U.S. Senator until the day his life was changed forvever. Ron was kidnapped by aliens and his brain was transplanted into the body of a giant rat. The aliens were also experimenting on four creatures with huge bodies made of a substance not unlike concrete. The four concrete creatures had no memory of where they were from and yet seemed to posses the personalities of contemporary American teenagers. They were also, inexplicably, masters in the art of Ninjitsu! Ron soon escaped from the aliens with the aid of his four new friends.
After their escape Ron decided he could make the best of his new situation and went on T.V. offering the skills of his four young proteges to any worthy causes. He named them after four famous explorers and together with Ron's assistant, Casey Munro and a scientist named April Vonnegut they continue to seek adventure.
They are BURTON, DRAKE, RALEIGH and COLUMBUS - The TEENAGE MUTANT CONCRETE NINJAS!
Concrete is written and drawn by Paul Chadwick and the Concrete images are all his work. Everyone should read Concrete, it's one of the best comics ever made.
This is my first attempt at a non-DC/Marvel Amalgam. What other non DC/Marvel characters would you like to see Amalgamated?

Haha, I love it. One of my favorite non-DC/Marvel books is Invincible by Robert Kirkman. I'd love to see some sort of amalgamation with that character.
ReplyDeleteSpawn and Wolverine. Both have (or had) amnesia, so it could work...
ReplyDeleteOMG I LOVE THIS!
ReplyDeleteBAD-ASS!
ReplyDeleteFlaming Carrot and Grimjack.
ReplyDeleteArchie Andrews and Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 8 comics.
Godzilla and Savage Dragon.
:)
Also can't believe it's taken me this long to remember these that we came up with whilst attending a RPG con years ago-
ReplyDeleteApollo Creed - Apollo from BSG and Creed from Rocky- boxes cylons on the moon in the rocket he built (Simpsons joke tie-in)
Doctor Doctor - moustachioed female amalgam of Strange and Fate
Shang Ch'imp, Master of Kung Fu - amalgam of Caesar from Escape From The Planet of the Apes and Shang Chi:
"Call me Shang Ch'imp, as my father did. It means, 'rising and advancement of the ape'."
My all time favourite which I keep using in various things I write or draw.
Inspector Bender - Bender from Futurama and Inspector Gadget
Amalgams of the Watchmen with anything wildly inappropriate are always fun- like blending them with the Carebears or Smurfs... who are already blue...
I love the idea of Shang Chi'mp, except I might do him as a Shang Chi/Detective Chimp Amalgam.
ReplyDeleteYeah if you want to stick with DC / Marvel amalgams Shang Chi and Detective Chimp ought to stick.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cool that Chimp has popped back up in continuity again. We have Morrison to thank for this vibe I think. :)
