Dark Claw was a 1960s American television series, based on the Amalgam Comics' character of the same name which starred Adam West and Yvonne Craig as Dark Claw and Sparrow, two crime-fighting heroes who defended New Gotham City. It aired on the NBABC network for two and a half seasons from January 12, 1966 to March 14, 1968. Each week Logan Wayne (West) and Jubilation Lee (Craig) would don their costumes and defend the city from an evil super-criminal, most commonly Cesar Romero as The Hyena. One particularly famous episode teamed the Dynamic Duo with Van Williams and Bruce Lee as The Green Shadow and his sidekick, Kato Lane.
This picture was originally the great Adam West as Batman. The claws are borrowed from a picture of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.

When it was suggested as a follow-up to the Reeves Super-Soldier, I didn't think you'd achieve it so quickly!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what camp Wolverine would be like.
Wow, that was so quick! Any chance of Amazon starring Lynda Carter ;P
ReplyDeleteAWESOME, Paul, and awesome job on the Super Soldier one too!
ReplyDeleteNeal: Unfortunately, I think Amazon would have to star Halle Berry.
Thanks for the comments dudes, I must admit I'm quite pleased with my first two attempts at "real life" Amalgams.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I couldn't really do Amazon with Lynda Carter and I'd be reluctant to put Halle Berry on my blog, for the reasons you might expect i.e Catwoman, Swordfish, Die Another Day and all the other terrible films she's helped make a reality. :)
The only thing that come could cooler than this is a Lincoln Futura concept car turned into the Darkclawmobile.
ReplyDeleteYvonne Craig in the Sparrow tights! That was so racy at the time!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was a campy show, but damn fun (and much better than that live-action Spider-Boy series, that dude had to be in his early 30s!). Now if it would only come out on DVD.
Any chance of doing Nicholas Hammond as spider-boy, Jackson Bostwick as captain marvel or Lou Ferrigno as Skulk, I know you've done him as big joke, but I'd still like to see it. I'm also curious about the green shadow, as to who the hornet it amalgam with (my guess is the shadow), and Caesar Ramaro as hyena sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteHow about Lynda Carter as Diana Prince from Bullets and Bracelets Dolph Lundgren as Punisher
